On Native Land : I'M ON UR LAND / MAPPIN UR DEMIZE

Added on November 25, 2009 by Drittens Cat.

Type: digital image
Summary: Among other things, maps are important tools of invasion and conquest. Sometimes, however, they also inadvertently record inconvenient evidence that counters misleading settler narratives - for example: "The land was vacant when we arrived; there was no genocide." From our On Native Land series, this piece was originally shown at the Picturing Politics 2008 exhibition, Arlington Arts Center (VA).
